Ok guys, today I have some organic chemistry for you. I talk a little about my favorite ion, potassium, or K+ if you will, and how potassium is important to homeostasis. Also, I set up a fun little experiment to determine which has more ions (electrolytes as most people know them) using a voltmeter. I test orange juice and a popular sports drink. The conductive properties of the ions in each drink are very easy to measure and you may be surprised at the results. Math and science makes me hot!
